Accurate tracking of refund credits

Overview

Share A Refund tracks claims submitted by Share A Refund and reconciles credits to actions taken by Share A Refund to secure refund credits on your shipping accounts. Each credit is analyzed and reconciled using automation processes that are fast and accurate. The information below details how the claim verification works.

Types of claims verified

Share A Refund tracks all money back guarantee claims that are submitted by the claim submission service and verifies approved claims are credited back to shipping accounts, as credits on a future invoice or as refunds to the credit card on file with FedEx® or UPS®. Money back guarantees claims that are not submitted by Share A Refund’s claim submission service are not tracked through the verification service.

Share A Refund tracks the shipping labels voided by the shipment voiding service and verifies successful voids are credited back to shipping accounts, as credits on a future invoice or as refunds to the credit card on file with FedEx® or UPS®. Shipping labels voided by the shipper are tracked through the verification service, and reported as cancelled within the Share A Refund application.

Share A Refund tracks the notifications sent to third-party shippers for unused shipping labels and verifies successful voids are credited back to shipping accounts, as credits on a future invoice or as refunds to the credit card on file with FedEx® or UPS®. Shipping labels voided by third-parties that are not included within the unused shipping label notification feature in Share A Refund are not tracked through the verification service.

Share A Refund provides an industry leading claim verification service that tracks all auditing activities and reconciles each refund credit to actions taken by Share A Refund to secure that refund credit.

Claim verification methodology

The credit verification methodology used by Share A Refund creates accuracy in reporting and assurance in billing.

The credits section within FedEx® and UPS® invoices is processed and reconciled to shipments and auditing activities performed by Share A Refund to secure each refund. Share A Refund only collects service fees on refund credits secured by Share A Refund. Better software is the driver of this industry-leading billing service.

New shipping accounts

The cut-off date for refund claims is specific to the type of refund claim request submitted. Late package money back guarantee claims, for example, are 15 days for both FedEx® and UPS®. Whereas other refund claim request types are longer. Upon registration, Share A Refund will audit historical shipments according to the cut-off dates for each reason why money back guarantees are delivered and file claims on those shipments when a possibility for a refund credit exists.

Claim verification reporting

Claims submitted for money back guarantees are documented through the Share A Refund application. Specifics on each money back guarantee claim submitted are provided on the detail view for a shipment.
